Why virtual therapy?

Remember the days of rushing to your therapy appointment, only to be stuck in traffic, trying to cram in time during a lunch break or could only meet late in the evenings? In a post-covid world where working from home is the new norm, we are given more opportunities for flexibility and convenience. This also allows for more comfort and privacy. You get to choose the setting that feels most productive for your therapy session. Travelling for work but still want support? Virtual therapy allows for the therapeutic relationship to continue no matter where life may take you.

Do you take insurance?

Wasserman Therapy works with Out-of-Network benefits and provides clients with all necessary documentation for reimbursement in the form of a superbill at the end of every month. When it comes to therapy, working with an out-of-network provider can have its advantages. These include the ability to choose a therapist that is the best fit for you, receiving more personalized care, and ensuring confidentiality from insurance companies. Additionally, many clients are pleasantly surprised to find that their insurance coverage can make out-of-network sessions just as affordable as in-network ones, with reimbursement often covering most of the cost. Majority of clients are covered for at least 70% of the cost. Calling the back of your insurance card and asking the following questions will give you a greater sense of your options in receiving the highest quality therapy:

           1. What are my out-of-network benefits for a 45 minute psychotherapy session?

           2. Do I have to meet a deductible before these benefits kick in?

           3. Is there a limit on the amount of sessions that my plan will cover per year?

           4. How do I submit my claim to get reimbursed?

How often will sessions be?

Typically therapy starts out as meeting once per week. However, this can be twice a week in the beginning if the extra support is needed. I work with clients to ensure that they are receiving the care that works best for them and the agreed upon treatment plan. Just as we are always changing and evolving, therapy works to meet you where you are at in the therapeutic process. Sometimes this means more support during a given time, while others it means less.
